I make art.  Um, yes.

I attended art college (would you like fries with that?) at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I have a associates degree in Industrial Design Special Effects.

What this means, is that for two years I made a lot of sculptures, molds that I was almost incapable of lifting, and about a hundred indecipherable pages of notes.

After graduation I decided that I would like to eat, and promptly got a day job in the production industry as a stagehand/production assistant/extra pair of hands.  Art got put on hold for a number of years, as that good old thing I'd get back to one day.

Well one night during the busy season I was staying overnight at my friends house, so I could sleep somewhere that was not my car for about five hours. (I said it was the busy season.)

When the alarm jerked me out the of the sweet soft world I was inhabiting, I lay awake and stared the the ceiling. I thought to myself that I could not keep doing this line of work forever. I realized there, in the soft cat fur covered bed, that I needed to find another career.

Hence the art. Because of money concerns (i.e. not having very much of it) and space issues (read: studio apartment) I could not continue to sculpt. I did sell a few  sculptures online, but now I knew it was time to teach myself to draw.

So I did.

The End.  Wasn't that a great story?
